FAQs

What is Biofield Tuning?

Biofield Tuning is an alternative therapy that uses tuning forks to detect and correct imbalances in the body's energy field. The practitioner uses specific techniques to analyze and work with the biofield, which is believed to interact with physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

How does Biofield Tuning work?

During a Biofield Tuning session, the practitioner applies tuning forks to specific points on or around the body. The sound and vibrations emitted by the forks are thought to help release energy blockages, restore balance, and promote a sense of relaxation and well-being. It is believed that the body's energy field resonates with the frequencies produced by the tuning forks, facilitating healing and restoring harmony.

What can I expect during a Biofield Tuning session?

In a typical Biofield Tuning session, you will be fully clothed and lie down on a massage table or sit comfortably while I activate my tuning forks of various frequencies. I may place my forks on your body during your session and also surrounding your body. I am like a sound technician listening to my forks. You may experience sensations like tingling, warmth, or relaxation during the session. It is common for clients to feel more peaceful, grounded, or energetically lighter afterward.

What are the potential benefits of Biofield Tuning?

Biofield Tuning is said to have various potential benefits, including deep relaxation, stress reduction, improved energy flow, enhanced well-being, and increased self-awareness. It may also help address emotional or physical imbalances, support personal growth, and promote a sense of alignment and coherence within the energy field.

Are there any risks or side effects associated with Biofield Tuning?

Biofield Tuning is generally considered safe and non-invasive. However, as with any energy-based therapy, some individuals may experience temporary effects such as emotional release, fatigue, or heightened sensitivity. It's essential to work with a trained and experienced practitioner who can guide you through the process and address any concerns you may have.

How many sessions do I need, and how often?

The number of sessions and the frequency will vary depending on your individual needs and goals. Some people may benefit from a single session, while others may choose to have multiple sessions over time for ongoing support and deeper energetic work. We can discuss your specific situation and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.

Who invented Biofield Tuning?

Biofield Tuning was developed by Eileen Day McKusick. She is a researcher, author, and practitioner who pioneered the field of Biofield Tuning. Eileen Day McKusick began her work with tuning forks and the biofield in the late 1990s and has since dedicated her career to studying, teaching, and refining the practice of Biofield Tuning. She has written a book called "Tuning the Human Biofield: Healing with Vibrational Sound Therapy," which has become a valuable resource for understanding Biofield Tuning. Eileen Day McKusick continues to be a leading figure in the field and has trained numerous practitioners worldwide.

What kind of training do you have?

I completed Eileen Day McKusick's training program at the Biofield Tuning Institute where I completed multiple levels and was given the opportunity to progress and deepen my understanding and skills.

Through a combination of online learning modules, live webinars, in-person workshops and hand-on practice, I fulfilled the necessary requirements and became certified as Biofield Tuning Practitioners through the Biofield Tuning Institute in November, 2021.

As a practitioner, I continue to advance my skills and participate in ongoing education with the Biofield Tuning Institute.

I have also trained in many other forms in natural medicine, including:

  • Homeopathy at the School of Homeopathy (UK) and Nutritional Therapy at the School of Health (UK) in 2009.
  • Reiki Master and Instructor
  • Trained in the Yuen Method of Healing, EMF Balancing Technique, and Ayurvedic Transdermal Marma Therapies.
  • Completed "Training For Tuner’s In Diversity, In Equity and Inclusion" with Jillian Faldmo and Trish DeRocher.

What Self-Care is recommended after a Biofield Tuning session?

After a Biofield Tuning session, it's important to prioritize self-care to support the integration of the energetic shifts and promote overall well-being. Here are some self-care tips to consider:

  • Rest and Relaxation: Allow yourself time to rest and relax after the session. This can help your body and mind integrate the energetic changes. Take a nap, engage in a calming activity, or simply give yourself some quiet time to unwind. I highly recommend an Epson salt bath or foot soak.
  • Hydration: Drink plenty of water to assist your bodies integrations of your tuning. Hydration supports the body's natural cleansing processes and can facilitate the release of toxins that may have been stirred up during the session.
  • Gentle Movement: Engage in gentle movement practices such as stretching, yoga, or walking. This can help maintain the flow of energy in your body and support the integration of the session's effects.
  • Grounding: Spend time in nature, barefoot if possible, to ground yourself. Connect with the earth by walking in a park or garden, sitting by a tree, or simply placing your feet on the ground. Grounding helps stabilize and balance your energy.
  • Self-Reflection: Take some quiet time to reflect on the session and any insights or experiences that arose. Journaling or engaging in self-reflection exercises can help you process and integrate the session's effects on a deeper level.
  • Self-Care Practices: Engage in activities that promote self-care and nurture your well-being. This may include taking a relaxing bath, practicing mindfulness or meditation, using essential oils, listening to soothing music, or engaging in any other activities that bring you joy and relaxation.
  • Honour Your Needs: Pay attention to your body and honour its needs. If you feel the need for rest, sleep, or extra self-care, give yourself permission to prioritize those needs.

Remember that self-care is a personal journey, and it's essential to listen to your body and honour what feels right for you. If you have any concerns or questions, don't hesitate to reach out to me for further guidance and support.
